Stevens Model 87a Year Made
Webmay 7, 2006 · here's a picture of my stevens 76a (pre stevens 87a) and what it can do in the squirrel woods. Both stevens and springfield, at the time, where subsidiaries of the savage arms co. The alpha code should be preceded by one or two. (but may also be applicable to other models) the easiest is by the alpha code contained in the inspectors mark. I have several of these rifles, all made prior to '48 and 3 or 4 prewar.
