Webif lookin to rid excess components, standard answer is hpt is not capable and does not support such a function (as is illegal). Webi am not sure how this is done on the l5p. I got the hp tuner with the unlocking device on my 2020 2500 chevy. You need to get a stock file (probably via tis) and it will need to be configured to work with efilive. Webi'm on group forums for the delete l5p's but i just don't trust the tuners out there to do the work. Power and fuel economy are waiting! Hooked everything up and started downloading the 2 tune files i was sent. As for if you have to buy it in tandem. Webthe sotf tunes weren't cheap, but a proper ecm tune did add significantly more power than the derringer. I suspect the edge evo ht2 is probably the best.
